Saturday 10 February

FINALLY! Bay Central’s Big Moment: Let’s Celebrate

Join our ribbon-cutting ceremony of Bay Central, the new local hotspot for all things food, lifestyle and health.

We’re celebrating our opening all week, but our ribbon cutting ceremony is on Saturday 10 February 10:00am – 10:45am, and marks the official opening of The Shire’s newest place for all your essentials. It’s where the good vibes grow through dining, shopping and lots of community connections.

The ceremony will begin with a Welcome to Country, a beautiful acknowledgment of the traditional custodians of this land. Following this, a traditional smoking ceremony will cleanse and purify the surroundings, paying homage to the rich cultural history of the area. The festivities continue with a captivating First Nation Dance by the Djurawlinjang Cultural Women’s Group, a beautiful display of indigenous culture and artistry taught to them by Aunty Calita Murray.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is not just to celebrate a new shopping centre, but to celebrate the enduring spirit and traditions that make Woolooware Bay a vibrant and diverse community. That’s why we’ve got our local resident, Elaine, to welcome everyone into Bay Central by cutting the ribbon.

Join us as we open the doors to a brand-new chapter in Woolooware Bay!
